In a battleground the Warlock's job is to blanket the enemy team in damage over time. Every talent and most of the gear push Shadow damage, so each Corruption and Curse of Agony hits as hard as it can, while Fear and your Felhunter or Succubus keep enemies off you.
Look for the of Shadow Wrath suffix on world drops; the Auction House is faster than farming them. The honor vendors cover the belt and boots.

| Situation | Cast | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Several enemies in range | Corruption on each | Instant damage over time on everyone. |
| The main target | Curse of Agony, Siphon Life | Your strongest damage over time. |
| Someone reaches you | Fear | Takes them out while your dots tick. |
| An enemy caster | Curse of Tongues | Slows their casting. |
| A finishing blow | Shadowburn | Instant damage, with the Nightfall build. |
| Low on mana | Life Tap, then Drain Life | Trade health for mana and take it back. |
Put Corruption on everyone you can see, curse the target that matters, and keep moving. Every ticking dot is damage you don't have to stand still for.
The Felhunter eats enemy buffs and silences casters; the Succubus seduces a melee enemy for a long crowd control. Choose by what the other team brings.
