Blood Fury — Short cooldown, large burst window. The best Rogue racial here.
Hardiness — Passive stun resistance — always on, nothing to forget.
Berserking — Attack speed when things are going badly.
Regeneration — Real survivability, better paired with a regen buff.
Will of the Forsaken — One of the best PvP racials in the game for a CC target.
Shadow Resistance — Blunts Priests and Warlocks.
Cannibalize — A weak free bandage — usable in stealth.
Stoneform — Counters bleeds from Rogue, Warrior and Hunter, and adds armour briefly.
Frost Resistance — Useful against Frost Mages, little else.
Find Treasure — Twinking is expensive; every edge helps.
Escape Artist — Counters the CC of four other classes.
Engineering Specialization — Access to gadgets other races can't reach yet.
Perception — Spot other Rogues and Druids while they can't spot you.
Sword Specialization — Passive hit chance if you run swords.
Quickness — Flat dodge increase.
Shadowmeld — No cooldown share with Stealth — restealth instantly, and eat or drink safely.
A must for any twink. Bombs stun, the Flame Deflector blunts fire Mages, and the goggles hold your head slot until the hat.
Lets you enchant your own pre-BiS gear, and disenchanting pays well.
Worth it only if you need gold or materials for Engineering.
First Aid — Level it to 225 right away: Heavy Runecloth Bandages heal more than your whole health bar.
Fishing — Two best-in-slot pieces come from the Stranglethorn fishing quests.
Cooking — Barely useful; buy your food instead.
Only two talents matter at 19: Demonic Embrace raises your Stamina toward the highest health you can have, and Improved Corruption makes Corruption instant so you can spread it fast.
One battle and one guardian elixir at a time. They vanish when you die.
One potion per fight; they share a cooldown.
Not the usual twink pick, but a very effective one. You spread damage over time across several enemies with Corruption, lock targets down with Fear, carry a Healthstone as a second potion, and stack Stamina until your health pool is the biggest on the field.
Gearing is slow and a little unusual: several pieces are world drops, two come from fishing quests, and the best off-hand needs a reputation in a level 50 zone. The alternatives under each slot hold you over.

| Situation | Cast | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Opening on an unaware enemy | Immolate | Strong opening damage that keeps burning. |
| Several enemies in range | Corruption on each | Damage over time on everyone at once. |
| The main target | Curse of Agony | Your strongest damage at 19; one at a time. |
| Someone reaches you | Fear | Takes them out of the fight while your dots tick. |
| Low on mana | Life Tap, then Drain Life | Trade health for mana, then drain it back. |
Put Corruption on as many enemies as you can and Curse of Agony on the one that matters, then let your pet and your wand finish the job. A good wand does a lot of your damage at this level.
The Imp attacks from range and lets you stay back. The Voidwalker is sturdier and suits a longer, steadier fight.
